OK so aren't you suppose to be happy when you bowl a 700 series? Well last night I bowled 234, 267, 221 for a 722 series and did not have an open. So why am I not happy, because I swear I could have laid the ball down and kicked it and it would have gone into the pocket. How are you suppose to get better when lanes are set up like that? I had nothing under a 9 count, leaving either a 10 or 8 pin the whole night. There were 2 160 average bowlers on our lanes who bowled 654 and 643. One lady with a 108 average even had a 551 series. It was pretty funny when the manager tells me that I am the only person he has ever known who complains about bowling a 700 series though. Oh well at least my Thursday night house will challenge me. Well just found out I came in 9th in singles and 3rd in doubles. Just waiting on the cash now.

Just got back from bowling in the State ELKS tourney. Didn't shoot to bad. 651 in team, 740 in singles and 725(1461 w/partner) in doubles, 2116 total. Flagged 1 ten pin, had 2 8/10 splits but damn it I left twelve 7 pins and I am right handed. Anyway should get back some money.

I have been bowling for over 30 years. I have always been a down and in bowler. I carry a 205 average in 2 leagues in different houses. I have 2 sanctioned 300s and a high series of 799. So what do I need help with? Well I want to learn to swing the ball so that I can become a more complete bowler. Whenever I try to swing the ball I end up pulling it instead of letting it go out and come back. Any suggestions on how I can stop pulling the ball would be greatly appreciated.

Well our local association had thier annual tournament last weekend. My team finished in 2nd place out of 80 teams. My partner and I finished 42nd out of 213 doubles teams. I finished 98th out of 421 bowlers in singles and 33rd out of 377 in all events. I bowled 738 in teams, 666 in singles and then my knee began swelling up and I was going to withdraw from doubles but they wouldn't allow subs so I sucked it up and still threw a 629 for a 2033 total.  If only my old knee could hold up!!   Oh well it was still a pretty decent weekend. Hopefully I will make some money.
